Our success is rooted in forging strong connections with our clients, as evidenced by the majority of our work coming from referrals and repeat customers. We take a hands-on approach with on-site management and open communication, aiming to alleviate the stress commonly associated with construction projects.
We are a proud member of the National Association of the Remodeling Industry (NARI). DSM has pledged to uphold the Association’s Code of Ethics and is dedicated to the professionalism and integrity of the remodeling industry.

The Team
David Marcus, Certified Remodeler - Owner
David founded DSM Construction in 2009 after earning a degree in environmental design, studying construction, architecture, and city planning. He discovered a passion for remodeling at age 15 while helping a high school teacher with home remodels.
When David Founded DSM Construction, his goal was to provide clients with high-quality craftsmanship, transparency, and integrity. In fact, it's not uncommon to find him on jobs sites swinging a hammer.
David has worked and managed every step of a project. Besides running his own business David has been a superintendent building multi-million dollar state of the art surgery centers.
In his free time he enjoys traveling with his wife Kelsey, and spending time with his daughter Margot. He enjoys life on the water and can be caught skiing, and wake-boarding at cedar creek lake during the summers.
Steve Mercer, Certified Lead Carpenter - Superintendent and Master Craftsman
Steve performs all carpentry related tasks, such as framing, trim, cabinetry, and doors. He also provides job site supervising of sub-contractors and meeting with inspectors.
Steve has been on the job site since he was 5 years old working along side his father and other family members. Steve has been hands on with just about every trade in the business. From running his own company and being a superintendent for large construction firms he has done it all.
When not working he enjoys spending time with his wife and kids, and enjoying a tasty burger.
Jose Perez
Jose Perez has been an invaluable member of DSM Construction since 2020. His passion for learning about the various trades involved in home remodeling has made him an indispensable asset to the team. He plays a crucial role in making sure everything meets our high professional standards, and we couldn't do it without him.
In his free time he enjoys watching boxing matches and spending time with his wife and son.
Frankie Elbanna - Office Manager
Frankie Elbanna has been on Team David since long before the inception of DSM Construction. As David’s younger sister, Frankie has done various odd jobs for DSM over the years. Today, she proudly serves as our Office Manager, diligently overseeing crucial aspects of the business, including social media management, blogging, and more. Her commitment to excellence and her genuine passion for her work ensure that our business continues to thrive and flourish.
In her free time she enjoys spending time with her wife, son, and their two dogs.
